Impossible Darkslides
What I am about to post is not related to Surry Hills. It is, however related to my love of Instant film which is what this blog is also about. Therefore I am going to post it here, as I was honoured and thrilled to be able to work on the second edition of Darkslides with The Impossible Project and thought you might be interested.
In two days, I created the 60 illustrations for the darkslides. Let’s just say it was a very busy two days (and nights), but such an amazing project to work on and I was just so thrilled to be given this opportunity. My idea was to create a series of Impossible Still Life’s, juxtaposing everyday objects into impossible scenarios. Here is a selection of some of my favourite designs, to see the complete series, check out The Impossible Project here. And buy some film while you are there :)
To just have a small piece of work in some way related to the revival of this amazing film, by this amazing company has put a smile of my face for the rest of the year.

Chee Soon and Fitzgerald have been here for as long as I can remember. I love their constantly changing window displays, I always stop and look at them. They have these little guys in the windows this week, cute. Of course this week I also had my new Impossible Project colour film delivered, so here is my first PX70 Surry Hills photo. Hooray! I am already in love with this new film, with all its imperfections, it is exactly my cup of tea.
